Earn Your Christian Orthodox Education When You Enroll In Classes Online Or On-Campus At The St. Athanasius and St. Cyril Coptic Orthodox Theological School

At the St. Athanasius and St. Cyril Coptic Orthodox Theological School we invite all to partake in the fullness of faith and do so through offering a variety of course styles to accommodate the busy schedules of our Orthodox Students. We value to serve the Church of God and the word in love, humility, worship, and education as faithful stewards for the glory of God and edification of the Church. You can register for classes on Christian Orthodox Religion and Theology offered online or at our Claremont, California campus which is located just outside of Los Angeles.

Our classes begin in the spring, summer, and fall semesters and cover various topics such as Coptic Language, Orthodox Spirituality, Coptic Monastic Art and Architecture, Church Administration and Leadership, Theological Research and Writing, and many others. We also cover modern topics such as Orthodox Approach to Drug Addiction which provides a biblical, psychological, sociological, and patristic approach to counseling those afflicted with various addictions

Orthodox students enroll in these classes as a part of one of two degree paths. The St. Athanasius and St. Cyril Coptic Orthodox Theological School offers both a Certificate of Orthodox Theological Studies as well as a Masters’ of Divinity degree.

Our certificate program is designed as an introduction to Orthodox theological studies. It requires students to take part in introductory graduate level study of Scripture Church History, Dogmatics, Patristics and Canon law.

The Masters’ of Divinity is a three-year-degree that prepares qualified Orthodox students for ordination to the priestly ministry in the Orthodox Church. Students who earn their Certificate of Orthodox Theological Studies can apply for their Masters’ of Divinity at the St. Athanasius and St. Cyril Coptic Orthodox Theological School.
