Workamper University Releases Home Study Course

Workamper 101: How to Get Your First Workamping Job, the popular Webinar taught by Workamping expert Jaimie Hall Bruzenak, is now available in a home study version.

Have you been wanting to travel and see the country in an RV? Are you afraid to retire because your savings have dropped? Does your wanderlust stretch farther than your dollars? Even if your retirement funds have tanked, you can still travel and see this country. This home study course will walk you through the steps on how to do just that.

Support your RV wanderlust!

Getting that first Workamper job is the focus of Workamper® University's Workamper 101: Getting Your First Workamping Job. The six-session course, originally presented live, is now available as a home study course on CD. All handouts, articles and bonus articles are included. Participants can complete the course at their own pace in the privacy of their home or RV. Go to http://www.workamper.com/WKN2008_university/workamper101/ for complete curriculum and list of free bonuses to participants. Instead of spending money to travel, RVers who work on the road, also known as Workampers®, can earn money to pay their living expenses and add to their savings. Working or volunteering on the road can also reduce expenses. Some jobs provide a free or reduced-cost RV site and workers spend less on fuel and entertainment since they are in one place. Workers may also get valuable perks. Jaimie Hall Bruzenak will lead participants through a process that will enable them to: identify what they have to offer Workamper employers and discover why they are valuable; discover what they want in a job and identify 20 or more potential employers and learn how to research them; figure out how much money they need and have the tools to evaluate a job offer to compute real compensation; translate past experience and skills into a dynamite Workamping resume that attracts Workamper employers; learn how to identify those employers and to ask the right questions. Jaimie's previous Workamper Webinars received high praise: "It (Workamper 101) is a definite must if you plan on becoming a Workamper. The course was invaluable to us." - Chuck and Joan "We had the privilege of applying to 10 potential employers. We were offered a position from everyone. Amazing. We applied before the class was finished and were offered a position. We are on our way to Cape May, NJ. We start on the 15th of April." - Bev and Tom "Jaimie: You did a great job last night! Thanks so much for putting together such an informative event." - Dolores "After sitting back and reviewing my experience (and initial trepidation) about taking part in a Webinar (never heard of one before! - and Ye Gads, what if I mess up and make a fool of myself in front of all those other people!), I want to now say it was easy...and I learned a lot. I am now in the process of updating and redoing our Awesome Applicant resume based on what I learned in the Webinar. I would not hesitate to take part in another one. Thanks for the special help you provide us in 'selling ourselves.'" - Barb and Tom Workampers have many possibilities for working on the road. Many people think RVers are strictly camphosts, but that is only one possibility. RVers work in RV parks, national and state parks, amusement and theme parks to name just a few of the hundreds of different ways they can earn money. In her book, Support Your RV Lifestyle! An Insider's Guide to Working on the Road, author Jaimie Hall Bruzenak lists more than 350 different ways. Jaimie says, "That's just a drop in the bucket. There are many fun and interesting ways to make money." Visit the Workamper News Online Store to find Jaimie's books and the new Workamper University CDs.
