Michael Vick and the rest of the Atlanta Falcons were the sacrificial lamb when it came time to open the Superdome Monday night. The New Orleans Saints, feeding off of 13 months of anticipation and excitement, would have beaten any team in the NFL last night, that according to Chuck Harmon’s audio interview which is now available on TransWorldNews at:

For Tom Brady the problem on Sunday seemed to be the loss of Deion Branch. The one-time favorite target of Brady has moved on to Seattle and is settling in with Matt Hasselbeck now. Harmon discusses the problems that have existed for Brady against Denver over the years, and the fact that even in New England, the Patriots can’t intimidate the Broncos.
As for Kurt Warner, Chuck believes the veteran Arizona Cardinals quarterback should remain under center until he has proven he can’t take a snap, but with pressure from the public a start by Matt Leinart is probable this Sunday.
Harmon takes a few minutes to discuss MLB as the season enters its final week with the NL playoff picture still a bit fuzzy. Harmon goes out on a limb to predict the Dodgers entry as the wild card but perhaps more interestingly sees the NL Central wide open for the Houston Astros. With a schedule that favors the Astros, the St. Louis Cardinals 2 ½ game lead might be in jeopardy.
The always entertaining Harmon fills us in on the rest of the NFL excitement from Week 3 as well as his prediction for the World Series, if you’ve ever heard Chuck before you’ll know its N.Y. vs. N.Y.
