Former NASA trainer shoots husband’s mistress because he asked for divorce

Divorces can get really messy, especially when infidelity is involved. And even when a divorce attorney is working to get a favorable settlement for the jilted spouse there is still that desire to get revenge.

Such is the case of a former trainer for NASA Shannon O’Roark Griffin, who was upset that her retired Army Colonel husband refused to leave his mistress.

Mrs. Griffin drove almost four hours from her Lyons, Missouri home to the home of her husband’s mistress in Gladstone, Missouri. Griffin knocked before she entered Irina Puscariu’s home. When inside the home she shot Puscariu three times in the face. Puscaui’s mother witnessed the shooting.

Mrs. Griffin and her husband were attending a divorce counseling session when Mr. Griffin expressed his desire to proceed with a divorce lawyer and dissolve their marriage. He did not want to leave his mistress. Mrs. Griffin left in the middle of the session and drove 250 miles to Puscariu’s home.

After Mrs. Griffin shot Puscarui she called her daughter and told her what she had done. The daughter called Mr. Griffin, who then called the police. Police located Mrs. Griffin through her cell phone GPS system. She was arrested and is in jail facing 1st degree murder.

Emotions run high in a divorce that involves cheating. Sometimes people want to take revenge, but with the support of friends and a divorce attorney their desire for revenge doesn’t have to end in tragedy, instead they can seek a favorable settlement to get their sense of justice.
