Two people in critical condition after a school bus and tractor trailer collide

Twenty-nine students and three adults were sent to the hospital Tuesday morning after a school bus and tractor trailer collide. Two of the accident victims are in critical condition.

The accident occurred around 7:30 am at the intersection of FM 93 and Old 95 in Little River.

Police say that the a Lowes delivery truck was traveling south bound on Old 95, the bus carrying the school children was traveling on FM 93. The tractor trailer failed to yield and ran the stop sign. The truck clipped the bus causing an accident and tipping the bus over on the side. The driver of the truck was cited for traffic violations.

Police said that it was very foggy and could be the reason the truck driver did not see the stop sign.

The bus driver and another student were critically injured. Twenty-eight of the students and two adults on the bus were also injured but they are not in serious condition.
