Smooth jazz musician Kenny G. is parting ways with his wife of 20 years, Balynda Benson-Gorelick. Court documents show Benson-Gorelick is seeking a legal separation on the grounds of irreconcilable differences. She filed her petition in the L.A. County Superior Court on January 9 and is seeking full physical custody of their minor son Noah, 14. The estranged couple also has an adult son.
Kenny G., whose real name is Kenneth Gorelick, has not commented. He has reportedly hired attorney Laura Wasser, a favorite among celebrities, to represent him in the separation. No other details were available.
The popular saxophonist started his career in 1982 and has released 14 studio albums. He collaborated with Rahul Sharma for his latest album, Namaste India. The 55-year-old most recently appeared alongside Katy Perry in her music video for Last Friday Night (TGIF).
