Essential Tips On Decorating Your Apartment

Men, if you are serious about impressing a woman with your apartment, keep these tips in mind. You surely want to impress her, but you also want to ensure that she feels comfortable in your apartment. The appearance of your apartment will be taken as a reflection of your personality, so she will be assessing you through the décor and atmosphere you create in your home.

The Kitchen

No woman wants to see a massive pile of dishes from last week emitting a stench that lingers throughout your apartment. If you cannot stay on top of your dishes, please hire a maid to do them for you. Despite what you might believe, even room spray and candles cannot deplete the horrible stench of dirty, moldy dishes. Also, make sure to be stocked up on wine, champagne, and vodka. Don’t be cheap.

The Entertainment

Woman cannot deny that they love to be entertained. Who doesn’t? Invest in a nice TV system, a sound/stereo system, and also have a variety of games on hand. By games I mean a deck of cards, monopoly, twister, and other board games. These can always lead to interesting nights after a couple of glasses of wine.

Living Room

Men, women LOVE a comfortable environment, so make sure she has ample space to relax and have some luxurious blankets nearby. Of course you can keep her warm yourself, but blankets will make the situation more intimate and cozy. Remember, you will most likely spend a good amount of time in the living room with her before the bedroom, so put time into making it perfect. Also, make sure your coffee table has magazines or books that reflect your intellectual side. While you are making her a drink, she can browse through these to stay entertained.

The Dreaded Bathroom

Your bathroom should be clean and not have obvious signs that men have been there. Men, if this sounds like you please clean up ASAP. Keep a clutter free counter as well—meaning only keep the bare essentials on it. Women like to see a clean sink, clean mirrors, counters, and most importantly a stain-free toilet. Also, keep some air freshener or a diffuser in there along with a full stock of toilet paper—you don’t want her to be using the bathroom and have to go through the embarrassing process of asking you for some. If she does decide to spend the night make sure you always have an extra toothbrush.

Floors

Please make sure your floors are spotless and free of all clutter. Vacuum at least once a week as dust accumulates and if she has allergies, this will cause her to be uncomfortable.

The Bedroom

Let’s face it. This is the place you want her to be, so give her a reason to stay. Your bed should be no smaller than a queen for obvious reasons. Also, make sure you have a nice fluffy comforter and pillows that make your bed so comfortable that she never wants to leave. This room should have a creative, edgy yet sensual vibe.

Artwork on the walls

Women love a man who appreciates art and has good taste. Take some time and invest in some artwork that coordinates with the setup of your apartment. No cheap posters!

Wardrobe Placement

Having a messy room with dirty laundry littered across the floor is off-putting. Hide your laundry hamper in a closet and try to make sure it isn’t overflowing with clothes. If you do not have time to do it yourself, find the nearest dry cleaners to take care of it for you.

Picture Frames

She wants to see that you are a caring man who has family and friends whom you care about. She will definitely look at these, so choose wisely. I suggest framing pictures from some vacations, your best friends, family, and of course your family pets. Remember, women love men with puppies.

Candles

I don’t mean your run of the mill, cheap grocery store candles. Elite women will want to see some Voluspa candles carefully placed throughout your apartment. (I suggest Crisp champagne!). This will help set the mood every time and makes an apartment feel homey.
