After 7 years of marriage and three children together, Heidi Klum and Seal are calling it quits. The couple confirmed their separation in a joint statement to People magazine.
"While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate. We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition. We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children's sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy,” Klum and Seal say.
No other details on the split have been released. This was the second marriage for the Project Runway host and the first for Seal. Klum was previously married to stylist Ric Pipino from 1997 to 2002. She began dating Seal in 2003 and they tied the knot in May 2005. They have three children together – Henry, 6, Johan, 5, and Lou, 2. Seal also adopted Klum’s 7-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.
