Bryce Dallas Howard became a mom for the second time last week. The Help actress and husband Seth Gabel welcomed a healthy baby girl on Thursday, January 19. Baby Beatrice Jean weighed in at 8 lbs., 6 oz. and joins older brother Theo, 4. Howard’s famous father, director Ron Howard, announced the news Sunday on Twitter.
“Bryce & Baby B are spectacular Daddy Seth & brother Theo are beaming ear to ear :-)” he wrote.
Howard, 30, who announced her pregnancy in August, previously spoke out about suffering post partum depression following Theo’s birth in 2007. "Do I wish I had never endured post-partum depression? Absolutely. But to deny the experience is to deny who I am. I still mourn the loss of what could have been, but I also feel deep gratitude for those who stood by me, for the lesson that we must never be afraid to ask for help, and for the feeling of summer that still remains,” she said.
Howard most recently starred in The Help and 50/50. Her other film credits include The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and Hereafter. Gabel is perhaps best known for his role in the TV series Fringe.
