We all have our days. You know, the days where time drags on and everything around you moves in sluggish ways. No one likes to reassess their week and notice it contained not one ounce of productivity. From Elite to you, here are five ways to boost your productivity:
1.) Hit the gym:
It has been said and tested that the gym is one of the best places to release stress and get things off of your mind. Not only is it a social anti-depressant, but is also boosts your inspiration and ambition toward a lot of things you might be lacking ‘the drive’ in. Please keep in mind that you must consistently hit the gym to avoid constant muscle soreness which could result in…excuses for why you’re underperforming at your everyday-life.
2.) Do things you don’t normally do:
Its simple. Play a lot of football? Try some soccer. Sleep in every weekend? Wake up early for once.
The key is to break routine and try new things to avoid boredom which could result to stupid decisions and irrational behavior. One way to increase productivity is by, well, being productive.
3. Have company…or not:
Are you the guy that always has company no matter what? If so, try toning down the number of buddies you have around. Doing so will give your brain a chance to function properly and pay attention to yourself. Be careful with this one though, you don’t want to lose friends in the process of trying to be productive. One’s social life is just as important.
On the other side of things, if you’re someone who never has anyone around and you’re always too busy to ‘kick it’ with your fellow peers, try doing just that. Invite a couple of buddies over to watch the game, hit the gym, go golfing or make them eat your dust in a quick game of Madden 2012. It could work wonders on your productivity level.
4. Blast your favorite music:
Research has shown that listening to tunes you like can improve your job performance by 10 percent. How? Researchers speculate that music taps into the part of the brain that drives our motivation. Think about it: increased motivation – increased productivity. Sounds good to us.
5. Finish first:
Take care of all your work at the office. Complete all your household duties. The golden key is to stop the stress before it even begins to approach. One of the best feelings in the world is not having a bunch of work to come back to after a very calming, blissful weekend. Kill two birds with one stone – then take that same stone and kill two more. Stay ahead. Stay active. Stay Elite.
