A Sarasota County transit bus was involved in a multi-car accident that sent three people to the hospital with minor injuries.
The accident occurred early Monday morning on Route 41. A SCTA bus was traveling west on 30th Ave West when it attempted to make a left turn when the driver noticed a car approaching the intersection from the east. The bus attempted to avoid a collision with the oncoming car, but turned the wheel to hard to the left and ran into a concrete median on U.S. 41.
The bus then struck the front of a Honda pushing into a building. The driver suffered minor injuries and sustained $7,000 in damage, according to The Patch.
The bus then struck another vehicle, a Lincoln, pushing it 80 feet before it came to rest in the northbound lane. The driver and a passenger also suffered minor injuries.
The bus continued to travel east until it ran into a utility pole. Three of the 12 passengers on the bus had to be taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Luckily, all of the people in this accident suffered minor injuries. But an
accident attorney knows that not all people in traffic collisions are this lucky, for many their injuries can be severe and sometimes permanently debilitating.
Accident lawyers work diligently to win favorable settlements for accident injury victims, who need the money to pay off their medical bills. An
accident attorney can also negotiate with an insurance company to make certain their clients get maximum compensation.
