Ben Flajnik and his bachelorettes traveled to Park City, Utah for another round of dates on this week’s episode of The Bachelor. Many of the girls, including early favorite Kacie B., are feeling the pressure of not getting enough one-on-one time with Ben. Although Kacie B. fervently hopes the first one-on-one date card will be addressed to her, the card goes to Rachel.
Rachel and Ben set out to explore Park City by helicopter. After looking at the scenery from the air, Ben and Rachel land for a picnic in the woods. The conversation is awkward and Rachel can’t seem to come up with anything to say. Despite her silence, Ben keeps the date and later gives Rachel the rose at dinner.
The group date goes to Courtney, Kacie B., Blakeley, Lindzi, Samantha, Nikki, Jamie and Casey. The day consists of horseback riding, fly fishing, and a late night cocktail party. Courtney creates more problems between herself and the other girls when she pulls Ben away for a private fishing session up river. She ends up catching the only fish of the day to the other ladies’ dismay. At the cocktail party, Ben pulls Kacie B. aside for some one-on-one time in a private room. He reassures her about his feelings and it looks like Kacie B. will receive the date rose until Courtney begin manipulating and scheming. During her private time with Ben she claims to have “lost sight” of their connection. That worries Ben so he gives her the rose to reassure her of his feelings. The cocktail party drama came in the form of Samantha, who decided to question Ben about why he hasn’t given her a one on one. He tries to gently warn Samantha against continuing with her questions, but she won’t let up and he ends up sending her packing.
For the final one-on-one, Ben takes Jennifer on a hike to a water filled crater. They drop into the crater together and swim for a while before going to dinner. Jennifer opens up about a past relationship that she ended because the guy would not marry her. Ben apparently likes what he sees and hears because he gives Jennifer the rose. They end the night with a Clay Walker concert.
At the rose ceremony, tension between Courtney and Emily finally reached a breaking point. Courtney became angry after hearing that Emily warned Ben about her catty attitude. Ben didn’t seem fazed by Emily’s warnings, which frustrated Emily and caused a lot of tears. With Samantha’s early departure only one unlucky lady was sent packing. It turned out to be Monica, who stirred up drama on night one when she flirted with Blakeley.
