California Woman Arrested for DUI with Infant in Car

San Leandro, CA – Police arrested a 30 year-old woman, who had her infant in her car, for DUI early Thursday morning.

 Police observed Lynisha Jefferson attempting to park her car outside the Quick Stop convenience store around 2:50 AM. They noticed her tossing out a tequila bottle and approached her. The officer stated that she appeared to be intoxicated.

 Jefferson submitted to field sobriety tests which she failed and was placed under arrest. Police noticed she had her one year-old infant in the car. They also found a small amount of marijuana in her vehicle.

 Jefferson is being charged with four different counts including DUI and child endangerment. Her child was taken into protective custody.
