Google’s new privacy policy goes under fire

Google is a giant in search engines, and is just getting bigger especially since they have integrated Google + with search. But they are now being criticized for their new privacy policy.

Sharing some information over its various platforms is fine with most customers and helpful to legal internet marketing businesses. When a person shares something on Google + it will also show up in a search if that person is on one of your circles. This move received the ire of other social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter who allege that Google will favor their social platform, Google +, over others.

Now Google is facing criticism over their privacy policy, which gives Google the right to make changes to any photos and content you post so that it works better with their services. This content will become public and Google can use this information to “improve their services.”

Facebook, also favored in legal internet marketing, has a very loose privacy policy and faced serious criticism. Facebook also admitted that they followed users after they left their site to mine for information.

This doesn’t mean that users and legal internet marketing firms will abandon these sites altogether, but it will make them more conscientious of what they post and share.

It important for internet users to remember that the internet is a public space, and users, search engines and social media have access to this information.
