This week’s update of the “Would You Date” series features the infamous fashion week model. Some of us have had amazing, rapturous experiences with these fashion icons. Others have had more unfortunate, heartbreaking encounters with these highly coveted, in-demand women. We are here today to provide our readers with an insight into the reality of dating a fashion week model.

Keep in mind that this analysis is based on collective experiences, and no two women are the same. Thus, you might not necessarily have an experience reflective of this piece. Nonetheless, we feel our opinion is generally accurate.

All men are drawn into the mystery and allure of fashion models—to the point where even gay men join the ranks of their followers. Their infamous, oftentimes exotic beauty is so captivating that the most exclusive fashion houses and publications lavishly pay them simply to wear their clothing or take a photograph.

Brief Overview:
Alas, the stunning fashion model–the unparalled paragon safely resting atop every man’s list of women to date. These statuesque women—at times measuring at a staggering six feet–don the latest fashion trends and have a caliber of beauty pedestrian women cannot fathom recreating. Due to their profession, their livelihoods are inherently based in their external appearances—serving as a vital part of their personal and professional lives. Women in this industry face a tremendous, unceasing pressure to sustain their looks at all costs.

Pros:
Considering that it is likely to be one of the first things you notice, I think it would be logical to begin with their height. These women are usually between 5’8″- 6’0″ tall without heels and it serves as a true ego booster to any man. The instant she enters a room she will draw everyone’s attention—leaving the whole room in awe of her beauty. Her astounding beauty will be great PR for you—leading other women to be inquisitive and interested in you. This will pave the road to dating scores of other models, professional cheerleaders, entertainers, and artists. Generally, the upgrade in caliber of women you date will increase tenfold with each model.

The cost efficiency with fashion models is moderate. The amount you spend on dinner and drink fees will be relatively low compared to other women, as their diets do not allow them to overeat. These girls vigorously watch their weight, so if your preference is petite women, you must look no further. With that incredible height they still manage to keep their weight under 120 pounds to stay competitive in their respective industries.

These women are such eye candy that they will induce feelings of envy amongst all they encounter. You will also come to enjoy that these girls are incredible party girls, they absolutely LOVE to party. They will drink with you, dance with you, and make sure the energy in the room is upbeat and lively. A model’s vivacious, sociable energy will allow her to always be comfortable with you regardless of setting. She’ll easily get along with all of your best friends, but we wouldn’t trust her alone with any of those wolves for a second.

This of course leads us to our next pro, which is that she is certainly unlikely to make you wait any extensive period for the sexual gratification you’re seeking. Having gone as far as experiencing unexpected masochism, I can vouch that–should you find the right one–you could potentially explore every fantasy in the book. Due to their slender physical proportions, the bedroom work can become a little laborious. Prepare for a work out.

These women have an impeccable sense of style and possess a fashion sense that would make any woman jealous. They are always pioneers with fashion trends and appear amazingly well dressed in the even most casual of occasions. They also have a great work ethic as their field requires tremendous amounts of focus and professionalism. Lastly, these women are very caring and have a lovable vulnerability about them.

Cons:
Once again, we’ve almost sold ourselves to dig through Ford’s portfolio for the future mother of our children. Not so fast there, buddy. The list of pros is commensurate with the list of cons—encompassing some which can drive a man to insanity. One must first distinguish between the professional, hard working models and the pseudo models.

A proficient model can socialize in a club with a drink at night and remain functional enough to arise for her 8AM call time. The psuedo model is typically the one you find lusting over the club promoters every night. Filled with a false sense of empowerment after their first experience of being unknowingly exploited by scores of promoters, celebrities, and wealthy men, you will witness these girls dancing from table to table and bottle to bottle as if being a lush were an Olympic sport.

For starters, these women are quite possibly the worst sexual partners you’ll ever have the misfortune to encounter. I have had sexual experiences so bad that I’ve been compelled to proclaim the deed itself as being worse than chewing glass. The problem is that these girls are extremely tall and slender. I understand that to make it to Paris F/W 12 you need to maintain that ghastly figure, but please find some rhythm.

Any sexual position besides the standard missionary can prove to be an arduous, oftentimes unpleasant task. I’m not sure if it’s due to the years of doing runway in heels, despite countless experiences with models I have been consistently underwhelmed. She will have no clue how to ride, with a complete lack of timing and rhythm that will be worsened by the harrowing pain of her bony hips jabbing into yours. Her height, although an advantage in the club, is an obstacle during intercourse. Her lanky limbs sprawled across the bed will leave you befuddled as to how you’ll maneuver with these encumbrances.

Of course, we recognize that we cannot generalize an entire industry based on a few bad seeds, but we recommend that you follow one rule of
thumb for choosing the least sour grape: Watch her dance moves throughout the evening. Her dance moves will oftentimes be reflective of her skill and dexterity in bed.

Physical obstacles aside, we have to come to the relationship downsides. Hardened by a manipulative and sexually driven industry, I have come to believe that models are some of the least trusting women out there. Further, these women can be very insecure about themselves. Surely we can’t blame them, as their field requires a great degree of superficiality, but this will lead to a plethora a problems in your relationship—most frequently, her cheating due to insecurity. There is a high chance that if she’s with you on a Monday and with someone else on a Tuesday.

These women are also apt social climbers, strutting from table to table and departing shortly after the bottle is done. Guys beware, while you might think you’re enticing her with your drinks, she’s just using you as a free watering hole. Further, the last thing you want to do is fall in love with a model. As her field requires quite a bit of traveling, control your feelings. You don’t want to be blissfully enraptured with this model and then receive a call informing you she must move to Italy for work, leaving you heartbroken.

Yes, at first glance these women will come off as very attractive, but trust us in the long term it will lead to tremendous amount of stress. Sure, there may be a great catch in some lucky man’s life, but we wouldn’t bet on it.
