At least eleven people suffered minor injuries when a floor of a casino under construction collapsed early Friday morning.
The floor collapsed as concrete was being poured. The exact number of varies, but none of workers have life-threatening injuries; 16 to 20 workers were on the site at the time.
Rock Gaming LLC is developing the casino in conjunction with Caesar’s Entertainment.
Rock Gaming LLC named four local companies to oversee the construction in 2010.
On December 16th another Rock Gaming project had a similar accident. A parking garage floor attached to a Cleveland casino project also collapsed. No injuries resulted from this particular accident and construction has resumed, according to the LA Times.
Both the police and Rock Gaming are investigating the accident to determine the cause.
The employees in this accident were lucky in that no one lost their life. An injury can create a difficult financial situation if the employee is unable to work.
