Ellen DeGeneres is not the only one with strong opinions about Bachelor contestant Courtney Robertson. Monica Spannbauer, who was sent home by Ben Flajnik in week four, says after watching the show it is clear the model is manipulative and two-faced. Although Spannbauer thinks Courtney and Ben are not a good match, she says the wine maker “deserves” Courtney.
"I absolutely think she's wrong for Ben, but the more I watch the show -- because obviously I don't get to see everything that happens -- they deserve each other," Spannbauer told reporters Thursday.
"Courtney is not very nice and I think she deserves everything that's coming toward her," she continued. "Hands down, I think she's somebody different around other women and somebody different around a man."
"[Courtney] is really manipulative and really good at what she does. Obviously that's the kind of girl Ben's looking for, at least to this point. If they end up together, they deserve each other, because if he's that shallow and she's that manipulative, then they totally work together,” Spannbauer added.
Spannbauer’s comments come a day after Ellen DeGeneres slammed Courtney during an interview with Ben. "She manipulated you to try and get that rose. She said, 'Oh, I don't know how I feel.' Then you went and got the rose and gave it to her. That was not right," DeGeneres said of this week’s Bachelor episode in which Courtney told Ben she had lost sight of their connection.
"She may be a lovely person -- and you're probably engaged to her -- but the thing is, the way it was edited, she came off not nice. I could be wrong, because it's not fair to judge someone, but man she was playing you!" she added.
Although he never specifically called Courtney out, Ben, 29, acknowledged that he has been shocked by what he has seen of some of the women on each episode. “I’m watching a lot of this stuff [for the first time] with everyone in America. Sometimes I’m taken back by some of the ladies’ behavior. There are things that I see that I’m kind of like, ‘Wow,’” he admitted.
“I think that if I [did] pick someone, there are certainly going to be questions,” said Ben.
