Kim Kardashian is putting her acting skills back to work! The reality star has signed on to guest star on several episodes of Drop Dead Diva. Lifetime announced Thursday Kardashian will play the love interest of Fred, who is played by Ben Feldman.
"I'm ecstatic to welcome Kim to the Diva family. In discussing the role of Nikki with her, I'm blown away by her smarts, sense of humor, and passion. This series is all about reinvention and I'm so excited to see Kim 'reinvented' in the world of Drop Dead Diva,” Drop Dead Diva creator Josh Berman told Us Weekly in a statement.
“I can't wait to get to work with everyone on set!! Xo,” Kardashian wrote on her official blog.
Kardashian’s character Nikki will go into business with Feldman’s ex-girlfriend. Nikki will be introduced on the season premiere this summer.
This is not Kardashian’s first acting gig. The 31-year-old has previously appeared on CSI: NY and Beyond The Break. She also appears in Tyler Perry’s upcoming comedy-drama, The Marriage Counselor.
Kardashian is not the first reality star to appear on Drop Dead Diva. Bachelor star Jake Pavelka and former American Idol judge Paula Abdul have previously accepted guest roles.
