Former child star Taran Noah Smith, who played to youngest son in Tim Allen’s popular television show “Home Improvement,” was arrested early Wednesday morning for DUI and drug possession.
According to police Smith’s 1998 Silver Honda was still in drive but at an angle in front of a fire hydrant shortly after 1 am, according to E!Online. When the officer approached the vehicle he noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.
After police searched Smith’s car they found hashish, a type of marijuana inside the vehicle.
Smith was arrested for DUI and drug possession.
Smith retired from acting after the show ended and has been running restaurant and food manufacturer specializing in vegan and organic foods.
A DUI isn’t just for drunken drivers. A person can be arrested and charged for being intoxicated for any substance including marijuana. Any drug can adversely affect a person’s ability to drive or react in a dangerous situation. Intoxicated drivers cause a number of injurious and fatal accidents on the roads.
Regardless of what substance a person is on they will need to hire a DUI attorney to help them with the charges.
DUI lawyers know how the DUI courts work and how each judge will rule in a DUI case. With a DUI attorney the accused may see their charges reduced and the resulting penalties can be minimized.
