Michael Jackson Memorial

For those of you who missed the Michael Jackson Memorial Service it was beautiful and fit for the “King of Pop”.  This star studded event took place yesterday July 7, 2009 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.  There were many celebrities that paid tribute to Michael by gracing the stage with their vocals.  Some of these artists include Jennifer Hudson, Usher, Stevie Wonder, and Mariah Carey to name a few.   The atmosphere was described as no other.  Those that physically witness the event sensed a feeling of love, respect, and admiration all around them. 

There is no question that Michael Jackson is the one of the best entertainers of all time.  I believe Michael would have been pleased and appreciative of all the love, and support for him and his family.  He was truly a humble man.  The memorial was very appropriate.  It gave family, friends, and fans a chance to say their final goodbyes in the most respectful and sincere manner.  It was a celebration of life.  Michael Jackson was not only an entertainer but a humanitarian, father, son, and brother.  He should be remembered for his different roles and contributions to this Earth.  He was truly the definition of “The great Samaritan.”
