Utah woman adds First Amendment violation to sexual harassment lawsuit

Ogden, UT- A woman suing Weber County for sexual harassment has been given approval by a federal judge to add violation of First Amendment rights to her lawsuit.

The Daily Standard reported that Marcia Eisenhour has added allegations that Weber County officials retaliated against her for speaking to the public about the harassment lawsuit she filed against Weber Justice Court Judge Craig Storey and violated her First Amendment rights.

The initial lawsuit filed by Eisenhour stated that Judge Storey subjected her to unwanted sexual advances for the two years she served as his chief court administrator. The lawsuit was filed in February 2010 and is still in the discovery phase. Sexual harassment attorneys often represent people who are abused by others placed in powerful positions.

Eisenhour and her attorney released an 11 page slightly erotic love poem written by Storey to Eisenhour after the State’s Judicial Conduct Commission took no public action against Storey.

The justice court was closed but Eisenhour was not offered a means to buy her retirement unlike Storey who was given that option. Eisenhour also claims she was denied future positions that she is qualified for. Retaliation is forbidden by law and a sexual harassment attorney will make sure the people who commit these acts are held accountable.

Sexual harassment lawyers work diligently to prove their clients allegations and will seek damages if the accused has acted out of retaliation.
