Peyton Manning, Michael Vick and the return of Terrell Owens highlights Week 4 in NFL.

Peyton Manning marched the Indianapolis Colts (4-0) 61 yards for the game winning touchdown against the New York Jets (2-2). With just under three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter Justin Miller took a kick off return 103 yards to give the Jets a 28-24 lead. With no time-outs remaining Manning went under center from the Colts 39 yard line and drove the Colts into the end zone in 1 ½ minutes to win 31-28.

Michael Vick and the Atlanta Falcons (3-1) took advantage of another tough day for Kurt Warner and the Arizona Cardinals (1-3). Vick ran for 101 yards on 11 carries and back-up running back Jerious Norwood ran for 106 yards on 6 carries to pace the Falcons 32-10. The Falcons added 5 field goals, four from 46-year-old Morten Andersen, while their defense didn’t allow a touchdown for the third time this year.

The Dallas Cowboys (2-1) welcomed Terrell Owens back to the team and then spoiled Vince Young’s debut as the Tennessee Titans (0-4) starting quarterback. Owens grabbed 5 receptions for 88 yards and fellow wide receiver Terry Glenn converted 2 of is 5 receptions into touchdowns as the Cowboys rolled 45-14. Julius Jones ran for 122 yards and one touchdown for Dallas. 

In other games

Steve Smith returned to the Carolina Panthers (2-2) and caught 10 passes for 87 yards and a touchdown as they handed the New Orleans Saints (3-1) their first loss of the year.

Mark Brunell’s 68 yard touchdown pass to Santana Moss in overtime led the Washington Redskins (2-2) past the Jacksonville Jaguars (2-2) 36-30. Moss has 3 touchdowns on the day and 138 yards receiving.

Steve McNair’s 10 yard pass to Todd Heap with 41 seconds led the Baltimore Ravens (4-0) to a 16-13 come from behind victory over the San Diego Chargers (2-1).

The Buffalo Bills (2-2) held off the Minnesota Vikings (2-2) 17-12 in Orchard Park. Willis McGahee rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown for the Bills.

The Houston Texans (1-3) picked up their first win of the year when they stopped a Miami Dolphins (1-3) two-point conversion and held on for a 17-15 victory.

Marc Bulger threw for 328 yards and 3 touchdowns as the St. Louis Rams (3-1) past the Detroit Lions (0-4) 41-34. Both Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt eclipsed 100 yards receiving in the win.

Larry Johnson rushed for 101 yards and 2 touchdowns as the Kansas City Chiefs (1-2) pounded the San Francisco 49ers (1-3) 41-0. It was the worst shutout loss in 49ers history and only their second since 1977.

Led by Laurence Maroney’s 125 yards rushing, the New England Patriots (3-1) handed the Cincinnati Bengals (3-1) their first loss of the year 38-13.

The Cleveland Browns (1-3) overcame an 18-point deficit to beat the Oakland Raiders (0-4) 24-21. The Browns scored 21 unanswered points to get the victory.

The Chicago Bears improved to 4-0 after dismantling the previously unbeaten Seattle Seahawks (3-1) 37-6. Rex Grossman threw 2 touchdown passes and the Bears defense held the Seahawk offense to 230 total yards.
