Bachelor Recap: Panama Dates

Drama on The Bachelor continued this week with Courtney up to her usual antics and Casey S. being asked to leave because she is still in love with an ex-boyfriend. Before the drama started, host Chris Harrison informed the ladies that one of the week’s one-on-one dates was being replaced with a two-on-one date. The other two dates were the usual one-on-one and group outing.

The first date card went to Kacie B., who went on the very first date of the season. Ben and Kacie took a helicopter to a deserted island where they spent the day cracking coconuts and catching fish. At dinner, Kacie opened up about her high-school eating disorder. Ben respected Kacie for opening up further and gave her the date rose.

For the group date, Ben took Courtney, Lindzi, Emily, Casey S., Jamie and Nicki to a local village where they all changed into native clothes to explore the area and socialize with the villagers. Courtney opted to not wear her bikini underneath her see-through beaded top. Ben was the only one who appreciated the gesture. Courtney continued to monopolize his time and even tried to distract him when Jamie finally got her alone time later at the cocktail party. She also invited Ben to her room for more alone time after the group date ended. Despite all of Courtney’s efforts, Ben gave the date rose to Lindzi.

Blakeley and Rachel got the dreaded two-on-one date. After salsa dancing, Ben and the ladies sat down for dinner. The conversation was awkward, but Blakeley remained positive in an effort to make Rachel look bad. Each of the ladies got alone time with Ben before he decided who to send packing. Blakeley was shocked that Rachel received the rose. She stormed out of the restaurant and broke down in tears when Ben chased her outside.

Shortly before the rose ceremony, Chris pulled Casey S. out of the women’s suite and confronted her about being in love with her ex-boyfriend, Michael. Casey admitted to loving Michael despite their breakup over his unwillingness to ever get married. She said she hoped being on The Bachelor would help her move on. Chris took Casey to talk to Ben. She admitted everything and Ben sent her packing on the spot.

At the rose ceremony, Ben warned the women that he needs them to be open and honest. Jamie finally decided this is her opportunity to seduce Ben, so she pulled him aside and proceeded to instruct him on how to kiss. Her attempt at being playful falls flat and is super awkward. Jamie was eliminated at the rose ceremony.
