Sherlock Holmes star Robert Downey Jr. officially became a dad for the second time today. A rep for the actor confirmed Downey’s wife Susan gave birth to their son, Exton Elias, at 7:24 a.m. in Los Angeles. Exton weighed in at 7 lbs., 5 oz.
A friend of the couple says mom and baby are both healthy. Downey and Susan, who wed in 2005, announced the pregnancy last August. Exton is the first child for Susan, 38, and the second for Downey, who has an 18-year-old son from his previous marriage.
Downey, 46, is set to appear next in The Avengers and Iron Man 3. He most recently starred alongside Jude Law in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.
