Eleven people injured in head-on collision between truck and school bus

Middletown, OH- Eight children and three adults were injured early Wednesday morning when a pickup driver hit a school bus head-on. The accident occurred about 40 miles north of Cincinnati.

Ohio State Patrol Sgt. Tom Bloomberg said that the black pickup truck was traveling west on Manchester Road when the driver lost control on an icy bridge. The vehicle sideswiped another truck in the eastbound lane then continued to travel left of the centerline and collided head-on with the school bus, according to Cincinnati.com.

The school bus was carrying 34 students to a local private Christian school. Eight students had minor injuries and the school bus driver had a leg injury. They were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The uninjured students were taken to school.

The truck driver and a passenger were both taken to the hospital for moderate injuries. The driver was wearing a safety belt, but the passenger was not.

This accident could have been much worse. Truck accident attorneys know that serious injuries frequently occur in traffic collisions. These injuries can be temporarily or permanently disabling and the victims will need the funds to cover their medical and everyday living costs.

The injured can hire an accomplished truck accident lawyer to obtain much needed compensation. When a person has a truck accident attorney working for them they can take the time to heal knowing that someone is fighting for their interests.
