Can an Addiction Treatment Center Help where Church has Failed?

What Might God Think?

For years, addiction to drugs and alcohol has been viewed by society with guilt and shame. Addicts who decide to make a positive change and seek help for their addiction should be celebrated, not vilified. Addiction treatment centers that are faith-based have increased in popularity, simply because addiction is seen as a disease that requires treatment to heal physically, emotionally and spiritually.

God wants all His children to be happy and revel in His grace and know that He loves them, no matter what their sins and faults may be. Christian drug treatment teaches addicts that redemption is within reach, but they have to be willing to make the effort. Recovery from an addiction to drugs and alcohol will not be without significant challenges, but with God by one’s side, all things are possible.  The Bible says, in Philippians 4:14, “I can do everything through Him who gives me strength."

Addicts who seek help at a Christian drug treatment center will be welcomed and loved every step of the way.  Addiction treatment centers exist to help people conquer their addictions, find peace and embrace a spiritual relationship that will last. Christian drug treatment will not be a simple fix for a chronic disease, but it will give the addict the necessary tools that will empower their recovery.

The Bible says, in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten son.”  Faith is a powerful catalyst for change, and the key to recovery from an addiction to drugs and alcohol is change. Through recognizing one’s mistakes, it will be possible to make amends to yourself and to those who love you. While addiction is a disease, it is within everyone’s reach to be healed and learn to live without regrets.
