Shawn Marion has just been traded to the Dallas Mavericks. His trade was in exchange for Jerry Stackhouse. This was a rare four-team NBA trade. Stackhouse is going to Toronto, then Memphis. He will then be bought out and become a restricted free agent.
Shawn Marion deal is worth $35-$40 million from the Dallas Mavericks. Marion will be joining Dirk Nowitzki, Jason Kidd, Josh Howard, and Jason Terry is likely to come back.
This trade is a little tricky. The Dallas will get Marion and Humphries, while Toronto gets Wright, George, and Turkoglu. Memphis will get a monetary compensation and Orlando acquires a trade exception. I believe GM Bryan Colangelo did a good job orchestrating this trade.
