Drivers Wage Mayhem in Manhattan with Stolen D.E.P. Truck

Two men stole a Department of Environmental Protection truck later Friday night and caused a string of accidents and injuries before crashing into a store front.

Raymond Moore and Raynel Green found the city truck parked in a lower East Side repair garage. The men who later admitted to smoking PCP and marijuana took off and went on a seven mile joyride, according to the New York Daily News.

During that wild ride the truck crashed into a taxi cab, but the driver wasn’t injured. The police began receiving calls about the erratic driving.

The city truck then hit a Hyundai that was making a turn. The driver did not suffer any injuries.

While police were responding to these two accident calls the truck thieves continued their tear through the city, and crashed into Toyota; the 45 year-old driver was taken to the hospital with leg injuries.

After that collision the truck then hit another taxi cab where the driver suffered back and neck injuries.

The truck continued for another block before it crashed into a barber shop on First Ave, the New York Post reported.

The two men who stole the truck were also injured and taken to the hospital and now face multiple charges.

Truck accident attorneys are aware of the destruction that large vehicles can cause when driven recklessly. Injuries victims are able to seek compensation when they retain an experienced truck accident lawyer to begin building their case.

Truck accidents attorneys will make certain that injury victims are not forced to pay for their medical costs out of their pockets.
