There are a lot of things to do online like read the news and visit social media sites. But one of the favorite online activities is watching videos and people aren’t too picky about what they watch as long as it in informative, funny or relevant.
A report by Burst media showed that 71.6 adult internet users watch at least one hour of video content on the web each week. Forty percent of those surveyed said they watch full length shows online while others prefer news clips or user-generated content.
This shows the how video content can boost a law firm’s rankings on search pages. A legal internet marketing firm that includes relevant video linked to a site can drive more traffic to established pages. A relevant video can also increase the time a person spends on a website, which is another factor that determines a page’s rankings on a search engine.
ComScore reported that consumers are video viewers. Eighty-six percent of consumers purchased an item because of an ad they viewed online.
Humans are visual creatures and video is becoming an integral part of a legal internet marketing campaign. Video can convey an idea in a much shorter time than it takes for a person to read an article or news story.
A multi-faceted approach which includes video, relevant news content and video will become increasingly important for legal internet marketing in 2012.
