West Virginia woman sues McDonald’s for sexual harassment and wrongful termination

Charleston, WV- A woman has filed a sexual harassment and retaliation lawsuit against McDonald's and two of her supervisors.

Jennifer Bass began working at McDonald’s in July of 2011 and alleges that just two days after she began work the sexual harassment began. According to her allegations, assistant manager Michael Tatum made several sexual comments towards her. Tatum would repeatedly touch her buttocks and rub up against her. At one point during the day Tatum came up from behind her put his arms around her waist and touched her breasts.

Bass went to the restaurant manager Alex Payne to tell him about the harassment, but the behavior persisted. This is often the case and victims turn to sexual harassment attorneys when their employers do nothing about the misconduct. On December 28th Bass says she was terminated because she reported Tatum’s illegal behavior.

Bass suffered from panic attacks and later developed a heart condition, which she attributes to her harassment.

Sexual harassment can created a hostile working environment and left unchecked can lead to medical and emotional problems for the harassed. With the assistance of a sexual harassment attorney the victims can put an end to this misconducted.

Bass is seeking compensatory damages. An experienced sexual harassment lawyer can build a strong case and assure that their clients are justly compensated for the harm caused by harassment.
