Incredible Ecogear urges animal lovers to speak up for animal rights.

Ecogear Canada introduces a stark tee shirt for animal rights

Ecogear Canada introduced its animal rights tee shirt today and is urging all animal lovers to share the statement and support animal shelters and animal rights group with the purchase of the tee shirt.

The company has been promoting the tee shirt aggressively together with a group of animal shelters in the US and Canada. It will also be introduced at Animal Rights 2009 next week as part of that events thank you gift to its volunteers.

“It was a statement that we had to make. We as a species cause so much pain and suffering to other species that something had to be said about the issues.” Said Robert Hii, founder of the Ecogear brand in Canada.

In a slight departure from the company’s series of Special tee shirts, which have dedicated beneficiaries for each particular shirt, this one is being launched as a fundraising tool for animals rights groups in North America and the company is working with Primarily Primates in Texas, Jungle Friends Primate Sanctuary in Florida, the Animal Rescue Media Education in California. In Canada, the company is working with the Toronto Humane Society, Liberation BC in British Columbia, Voice for Animals in Alberta and Story Book Farm Primate Sanctuary in Ontario.

“We welcome any other animal rights groups to use these simple tee shirts as a way to fundraise. All they have to do is agree with the statement that we’re making on the tee shirt.” And the message is gritty. In a simple black and white graphic, it shows a monkey behind a chain link fence looking out on the message “ not where I belong”

The company explains that while most of the messages on its tees promote positive thoughts and actions, that there is nothing pretty or positive about cruelty to animals and that this image conveyed that message best.
