This week’s episode of The Bachelor was all about hometown dates. Ben Flajnik and his remaining ladies were in Belize for their next set of dates, but it was the coming week’s hometown dates that were on everyone’s mind. Ben had to determine which four ladies would be taking him to meet their families and which two ladies would be sent packing at the rose ceremony.
The first date went to Lindzi, the country girl who received the first impression rose at the very first cocktail party. Ben picks her up in a helicopter and they admire Belize from the air. The helicopter takes them to the Great Blue Hole, a large sinkhole that is popular among scuba divers, and they jump from the helicopter into the water. Later that night at dinner, Lindzi assures Ben she wants him to meet her family. They talk about how their time together keeps getting better and better.
The second date went to Emily. Ben takes her bike riding, shopping and lobster hunting. At dinner, Emily again expresses her regret about trying to warn him about Courtney. She also extends a formal invitation for Ben to meet her family. Ben seems happy with the date and relieved that Emily put the Courtney situation behind her.
The third date went to Courtney. They climb up a Mayan temple and have a picnic. Courtney admits she started to lose sight of their connection again and says she wasn’t sure about bringing Ben to meet her family. Ben respects her honesty and reassures her of his feelings. Courtney suddenly feels their connection again and is excited for her hometown date. At dinner, Ben confronts Courtney about why she doesn’t seem to get along with the women. She claims that she is nice to everyone, but says it is exhausting because the other women are boring and she would never be friends with them in her real life.
The only group date of the week goes to Kacie, Rachel and Nicki. They go swimming with sharks and end the day at the pool. Although Rachel’s fear of sharks monopolizes Ben’s time during the first part of the date, Kacie scores the rose because she tells Ben she is falling in love with him. Nicki and Kacie then try to warn Ben about Courtney. They tell him she is a different person around them and advise Ben to be careful.
At the rose ceremony, Ben pulls Courtney aside to confront her about her intentions. She reassures him that she is being completely honest with him and he ends up giving her a rose along with Lindzi and Nicki. Rachel and Emily were sent packing.
