Dixio Ereader Solution is the most advanced dictionary management technology by Semantix. It could previously be included in e-ink e-readers, but can now be included in any tablet, and also in reading applications for devices through the Semantix API.

Dixio Ereader Solution enables users to instantly look up the meaning of any word or expression with the best possible user experience: it provides context-specific definitions with automatic dictionary selection that ensures the best definition. It also detects proper names, idioms, compound nouns and phrasal verbs.

Dixio Ereader Solution enables local and online searches, depending on the device’s connectivity. It is currently available in English, Portuguese, French, Spanish and Catalan and will soon also be available in Italian and other languages.

Dixio contains more than 100 dictionaries, representing more than 23 million definitions at the user’s disposal. As well as the dictionaries that come with Dixio, the user can add others that are purchased through his or her device, providing that they are digitized in .dix format. Once they have been loaded, they can be managed and used in the same way as the rest. 

Other outstanding aspects of Dixio are that the user can define the smart dictionary’s language and establish preferences when looking for definitions.
