Oscar Winning Actress Marcia Gay Harden Files for Divorce

Oscar winning actress Marcia Gay Harden has filed for divorce from her husband of 15 years, according to People magazine.

Harden and her estranged husband Thaddeus Scheel have 7 year old twins and a thirteen year old daughter.

Harden’s rep told People, “For the sake of the three children, Harden would like to request the family’s privacy be respected at this time.” There was no statement on their reason for seeking out a divorce attorney to dissolve their nuptials.

Harden won a best supporting actress Oscar for her portrayal of Lee Kasner in “Pollack” back in 2001. She has consistently worked for decades and has at least three film projects in the works. She has also appeared in numerous television shows.

Scheel who works as a location scout and props master met Harden on the set of Spitfire Grill in 1996.

This was the only marriage for Harden.
