Washington DC resident Joseph Clark Mims was arrested for driving under the influence earlier this week in Maryland.
The Charles County Sherriff’s department said that they had received complaints of commercial vehicles operating in the area of Route 5 and Billingsley Road in Waldorf. An officer in the area saw an International dump truck with a registration violation and pulled the vehicle over around 8:30am.
As the officer approached the driver he detected the odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle. After conducting field sobriety tests the officer determined that the driver Joseph Clark Mims, 53, of Washington DC was drink and he was charged with DUI and other commercial vehicle violations.
