Five People Seriously Injured in Miami After Colliding with Semi-Truck

Miami, FL- Five people were seriously injured early Friday morning after the Honda they were traveling in collided with a semi-truck.

The accident occurred along Coral Way and Southwest 84th Avenue at about 2:30 am. According to initial reports a truck driver Larry Donnell Robinson, 47 of Baxley, Georgia was attempting to make a left turn when his truck collided with the Honda. There were five people in the Honda; some were not wearing their seat belts. All of the passengers were injured and rushed to a local hospital; two of them are in serious condition.

A friend of the people in the Honda, Crystal Hernandez, told Channel 7 News, “I basically saw an 18 wheeler make a sharp left turn and my friends hit and then they started spinning.” Hernandez was riding in another car alongside the Honda as they were returning home from a nightclub.

The semi leaked 100 gallons of fuel on the roadway. Coral Way was closed for several hours as Hazmat and emergency crews cleaned up the scene.

Police are waiting for the injured individuals to recover so they can determine the cause of the accident.

Injury victims are urged to hire a truck accident attorney immediately if they plan on seeking compensation for their injuries.

When a truck accident lawyer is working on a case, the victims can be assured that someone is fighting for their rights. A truck accident attorney will be able to obtain a fair and just settlement for the people injured by a driver’s recklessness.
