One Child is Dead After a School Bus and Dump Truck Collide in New Jersey

A collision between a school bus and a dump truck Thursday afternoon left one triplet dead and three other children injured; two of the injured children were the deceased girl’s sisters.

Twenty five students were on the bus when the accident occurred.

In a news conference Chesterfield Township Police Chief Kyle Wilson said that a dump truck owned by Herman’s Trucking of Wrightsville, was traveling on Bordertown and Chesterfield Road when the truck collided with the bus on the driver’s side. The bus was traveling on Old York Road.

The impact of the crash was centered on the rear of the bus, which then crashed into a light pole.

The intersection where the crash occurred has working traffic signals and police indicated that the truck had the right of way.

Most of the students had minor injuries like cuts and bruises. The three critically injured students were taken to a local hospital where they are in stable condition.

No one has been cited for the accident at this moment, as police continue to investigate the accident.

Traffic accidents can end up taking a person’s life or causing serious injuries. Many victims find that they need help with the associated costs and retain accident attorneys to file a civil case.

The compensatory damages obtained by an accident lawyer cannot relieve a person’s suffering but it can alleviate their financial burdens. Injury victims who hire experienced accident attorneys will receive a favorable settlement.
