Nick Cannon’s recent health problems have forced him to leave his NYC 92.3 NOW radio show after two years as host. The 31-year-old announced his departure from Rollin’ with Nick Cannon in a statement released Friday. The news comes just two days after Cannon revealed doctors recently discovered two blood clots in his lungs.
"Under doctor's orders, I have been asked to put my health first and cut back on some of my professional commitments in order to allow my body to get the rest that it needs to keep up with the demands of my multi-tasking schedule," Cannon said in a statement. "Even Superman has to sleep."
He also tweeted about his health problems. "The Doctors found blood clots in my lungs and said if I don't slow down and stop working so hard then it's a wrap!" he wrote this morning.
Last month, Cannon was hospitalized for mild kidney failure. His wife Mariah Carey revealed his condition on Twitter and asked fans to pray.
