At least four people have died and more than 40 left injured after a car bomb ripped through a market in the Iraqi city Kukchali on Saturday.
Kukchali, located on the outskirts of the volatile city of Mosul, is home to a mix of Sunnis and Shias and often sees insurgent violence that spills over from the larger city. The market was located in a predominantly Shia area and all those killed and injured were said to be civilians.
It has been less than two weeks since U.S. troops left Iraqi cities and the violence has continued to be a daily occurrence.
