Arturo Gatti, a former junior welterweight boxing champion and considered by many to be among the best pound-for-pound boxers in his prime, was found dead inside a hotel room on Saturday. Gatti was 37-years-old.
The eccentric fighter had been in the resort town of Porto de Galihnas in Brazil with his wife and one-year-old son.
Police have not disclosed a cause of death but foul play is suspected. While there were not stab wounds or bullet wounds investigators did discover blood stains on the floor of his hotel room.
