With the number of people becoming addicted to meth increasing in Michigan, Narconon drug rehab is doing something to stop this ever-growing problem.

According to the Drug Enforcement Administration, meth addiction has been on the rise in the state of Michigan and all over the Midwest and northeast. For anyone addicted to meth, and their families the drug can leave behind devastation that some can never forget, pointing to drug rehab as the only real solution to the problem.

Methamphetamine, a central nervous system stimulant has been abused by thousands of citizens throughout Michigan both in the rural and urban parts of the state.

The White House Drug Policy reports that almost 3% of Michigan citizens are in need of a drug rehab program in the state, many of which are addicted to meth. In addition, averages of only 60,000 individuals per year are going into drug treatment in Michigan leaving many addicts without treatment and many families to deal with the negative consequences of addiction.

Ramsy Darwish, Director of Intake at Narconon Freedom Center has helped many Michigan citizens get into drug treatment through the Narconon drug and alcohol rehabilitation program. Darwish, a counselor at the center feels that without successful treatment, many people cannot recover from meth addiction. “Meth addiction is an epidemic,” says Mr. Darwish. “I’ve spoken with many clients who have tried to quit using without treatment many time and failed.”

The Narconon drug and alcohol rehabilitation program achieves a more than 70% success rate with meth addiction and has been helping addicts successfully recover from addiction in the state of Michigan for more than 7 years. The reason why the Narconon program is so effective at treating meth addiction is because it approaches addiction on two levels, handling both the mental and physical aspect of the problem.
