Social Networks for Industry Verticals
Nitch, an online social network that allows that allows business owners in specific vertical markets to collaborate, launched earlier this year. The free platform allows business to post, share and archive industry specific information with their peer group. Nitch also helps to source new vendors, see vendor reviews from other businesses, save money with targeted product and service deals, and more.
Facebook builds communities of friends online, says Nitch founder Michael Noble. In a similar way, we are grouping
together businesses with their peers to give them a single location for collaboration and cost savings.
The platform is designed to be intuitive, very interactive and easy to use.
To create a bidding opportunity to source a new product or service, it is as simple as filling out two fields, says Noble. Vendors automatically get your email and can respond to the bid opportunity. Content posted on the wall of your Nitch can include video, slideshows, pictures, links, deals and more.
Our goal is to help independent businesses save money and to give B2B vendors the ability to be more targeted in their marketing activities, says Noble. We are excited about what we are doing and believe we can truly build a platform to help small business owners thrive.
