College Kids Drug Abuse Study Time

6.4 percent of college students reported having used Adderall for nonmedical use

6.4 percent of college students reported having used Adderall for nonmedical use in 2006 and 2007, according to the National Survey on Drug Use and Health. Adderall is usually prescribed to treat attention-deficit disorder.

It has similar effects to amphetamines and is used by college students to stay awake in order to study, perhaps creating a future of speed freak leaders, who eventually will wind up feeling confused and drained and drug addicted.

Though some students might tout Adderall as the perfect drug for college, the side affects of insomnia, headaches, stomach pain, dizziness (to name a few) make it not so perfect.

Research has indicated that Adderall can possibly make a heart defect worse and in 2008 all sales were suspended in Canada when the drug was linked to 12 deaths in American children.   Yet, students continue to seek Adderall out, even with warnings from physicians that misused it can cause serious health problems and even death.

The effects of Adderall are deceptive- students say it makes them more able to focus on their studies, but what of the future?  The ability to concentrate and learn applicable life talents is one of the most important goals of college.  Depending on a drug to simply get through school decreases the value of the individual once graduated.  The effects of the drug  will eventually diminish, the person will require more and more of it and gradually become less able.

Our founding fathers and every generation since have been able to mold history and take our country to great places through talent and industry.  Pills have not been part of the lasting goodness in life and it is not likely that they will contribute to anything meaningful moving forward.

That we have become a nation of pill poppers most likely portends for a steep decline  unless drastic measures are taken to avert a trend that only seems to be getting worse.  During Rome’s final days the general population was over indulging in alcohol, rather than facing the grave situations of the culture and the country.   History accurately reports the outcome of

Rome and accurately predicts our future should we continue on this path.

Aggressive drug education and effective treatment CAN change the course of this culture that is traveling like a locomotive, without brakes, down the wrong track.

Narconon provides both.

Drug Rehab of Georgia is a non-traditional drug abuse treatment program.
