The girls return to camp after their first trip to Tribal Council realizing they need to get organized and choose a leader. The next day, Chelsea nominates Sabrina to be their leader. The other girls quickly agree and Sabrina accepts the job. Her first act as leader is dividing the tribe into groups and assigning each group a job, such as gathering food, tending the fire and supplying water.
Three wooden boxes and a set of instructions arrive in tree mail for a “do it yourself” rewards challenge. Each tribe must break open their box to retrieve a ring with several ropes tied to it. The first tribe to untie all of their ropes and free the ring wins a tarp for their camp. The guys make quick work of the ropes and win their second challenge in a row.
While the guys work on improving their camp, Colton wanders over to the girls to socialize because he can’t relate to his tribe. The girls kick him out so they can have a private “girl talk.” They all agree that Colton can’t hang out with them constantly because he could report everything they say back to the guys. When Colton returns begging to hang out, the girls call a meeting and gently explain why he can’t be at their camp.
Realizing he must try to relate to his tribe, Colton reveals his hidden immunity idol to Tarzan, Leif, Jonas and Troyzan. Colton’s idol succeeds in making him the ring leader of a secret alliance.
For the immunity challenge, each tribe lined up on a narrow balance beam over water. One tribe member at a time had to move around their tribemates, only touching one person at a time. If someone touched two people at one time at any point in the challenge, that person had to jump into the water and start over.
The guys figured out a good strategy quickly while Kat struggled to get past the first person on her balance beam. She jumped in the water twice when she didn’t need to and put the women way behind. The guys dominated the challenge and scored their third win in a row.
Back at camp, Nina realizes she is probably on the chopping block since she is the oldest. She targets Kat for elimination, pointing out to several of her tribemates that Kat is the reason they lost the immunity challenge. Her arguments nearly succeed in persuading Chelsea and Kim to break their alliance with Kat and send her packing. In the end, they stayed loyal to their alliance. Nina became the second person to leave Survivor: One World.
