Kim Kardashian has reached a settlement in her $200,000 lawsuit against publicist Jonathan Jaxson and says she couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome. Kardashian filed the lawsuit last November after Jaxon claimed her short-lived marriage to New Jersey Nets star Kris Humphries was a sham and simply “staged” for publicity.
“Kim Kardashian is very happy to announce that she has reached a settlement of her claims against Jonathan Jaxson. Kim is extremely pleased with the outcome of the matter,” Kardashian’s lawyer said in a statement Wednesday.
As part of the settlement, Jaxon released a public apology to the reality star on his official website. “I wanted to apologize publicly to Kim Kardashian for any confusion that I may have caused by the personal statements I made recently regarding Kim Kardashian. I would like to further clarify that I did not have any first hand knowledge of Kim's relationship with Kris,” he wrote. “Any statement I made regarding Kim and her marriage was my opinion only and was not intended to imply first hand knowledge of Kim's thoughts and feelings.”
In other Kardashian family news, pregnant Kourtney Kardashian announced this week she is expecting a baby girl. The baby is due this spring and will be the second child for Kardashian and longtime love Scott Disick. The couple is already parents to son Mason, 2.
