Horse Trailer and Semi-trucks Collide on NJ Turnpike

Two semi-trucks and a horse trailer were involved in an accident early Monday morning that caused traffic delays on the New Jersey Turnpike.

Early this morning, around 5am, a horse trailer slammed into the back of a semi-truck in the southbound lanes of the Turnpike near Robbinsville.

The front end of the pickup hauling the horse trailer got wedged underneath the rear of one of the semis. The horse trailer then became detached from the pickup and was hit by another semi-truck.

It took emergency crews close to two hours to free the driver from the pickup truck. The driver was taken to a local hospital, but their condition is not known.

There are conflicting reports about the condition of the horses; one report indicates that the horses were injured, though there is no indication of how many horses were in the trailer.

Police are still trying to determine the cause of the accident.

Accidents are sometimes inevitable, and though people don’t intend to cause harm to people or property their actions impact others. The costs related to an accident can add up quickly. The victims may become burdened by medical bills, and in the case veterinary bills. A truck accident attorney will investigate to determine which party was responsible for a collision.

Victims, who are seeking compensation, should contact a truck accident attorney to begin working on their case. The representation of a truck accident lawyer is the victim’s best assurance that they will get the maximum compensation for their injuries
