Dancing with the Stars losses a step, Sara Evans will merengue no more

Expressing a need to “give her family her attention at this difficult time”, Sara Evans has exited from the hit show Dancing with the Stars.

The “difficult time” is in reference to her divorce from her husband of 13 years, Craig Schelske. The 35-year-old country music singer and winner of the 2001 CMA Music Video of the Year has expressed her desire to spend more time around her three children rather than continue with the show.

Evans has been one of the most popular contestants on Dancing with the Stars with a loyal fan base that has kept her from being voted out. Unfortunately her fans have little control over Evans’ marriage.

No word has been released as to who will replace Evans as Tony Dovolani’s partner. In the meantime Evans is nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year at the CMA Awards.
