Matt Kenseth won his second Daytona 500 yesterday after one of NASCAR’s more bizarre races. The race was postponed due to rain on Sunday, and was further delayed on Monday due to a fire.
Teamed with Roush Fenway Racing Greg Biffle, Kenseth had Biffle line up behind him on the final restart. Despite Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s attempts to catch up to Kenseth, Earnhardt Jr. failed to make it past Biffle.
Sunday’s race was postponed due to rain for the first time in 54 years. The race was rescheduled to take place the following day, but suffered more delays after a fire broke out. The fire was cause when Juan Pablo Montoya struck a safety truck.
