ShipZoo.com Announces Beta Launch for Online Newsstand

ShipZoo, a recent startup company, allows customers to purchase virtually any print copy magazine in the world and have it shipped directly to their home.

Overall newsstand sales are on the decline, and the market is still showing a sign that Americans are still careful about discretionary spending and impulse purchases.

“This is a rather new, uncharted space in e-commerce,” said Founder and Managing Director, Sean Smith. “One of the reasons for the decline is the visibility and availability of magazines. Last year we saw the closure of Borders and other retail outlets for single copy magazines. ShipZoo will be the place for consumers to purchase a large genre of single copy print magazines, special editions, international, and even hard to find regional publications online to be shipped anywhere.”

Consumers will have the ability to browse magazines online, bringing them the experience of a newsstand in the privacy of their own home on their personal computers and tablets. They will also be able to see the latest covers and browse by categories of interest online, making it even easier to find exactly what they are looking for when it comes to magazines. “ShipZoo is looking to revolutionize the magazine industry for people”, said Smith.

During the beta launch there will be 200 titles available for purchase. Once the beta phase is complete the number of titles will increase dramatically. ShipZoo plans to carry over 1300 titles thus making it the world’s largest online newsstand.

ShipZoo’s warehouse and corporate office is located in Grand Prairie, Texas; for more information on ShipZoo, visit http://www.shipzoo.com or join us on Facebook.
