Missouri accident kills two adults and a toddler, one sibling survives

Miller County, MO- An infant tragically lost his parents and three year-old brother in a head-on car accident on Missouri 52 in Miller County.

Police say that an Eldon family of four was traveling westbound when an eastbound Toyota crossed the center line. The Toyota hit the car carrying the family head-on.

Elisa and Marty Wilcox who were bring their newborn son home from the hospital died on the scene. Their 3 year-old son, also named Marty was taken to a local hospital where he later died. The Wilcox’s were wearing their seatbelts and both of the children were in car seats.

The driver of the Toyota, Emily Frakes, 19, of Eldon was seriously injured and is still in the hospital recovering.

Investigators are trying to reconstructing the accident discover the cause. Police said the sky was clear so weather did not contribute to the accident.

The infant was not seriously injured. Relatives will care for the infant.
